Senior Software Developer – Financial Services

We’re on the lookout for a talented & passionate Senior Software Developer to join a leading financial services company. Our client is an award-winning business, and they pride themselves on combining deep industry knowledge with advanced technical skills to deliver real-world solutions and practical advice to clients ranging from start-ups to large organizations across a range of industries.

Note - This is NOT a consulting role and you will be working within the internal technology team
About the Role

As a Senior Software Developer, you’ll play a key role in delivering software solutions within a collaborative and dynamic environment. You’ll work closely with product leads and wider teams to design and develop technology products that are core to the company’s technology strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Developing Software Products: Design and build innovative software solutions
• Full-Stack Development: Dive into back-end, front-end, and database development using technologies like C# .NET Core, Typescript, and NodeJS.
• Solving Tech Challenges: Work on a variety of projects, delivering creative and effective solutions.
• Collaborative Projects: Engage with engineering and product teams to bring technology solutions to life.
• Building Strong Relationships: Maintain great working relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Mentoring Opportunities: Share your knowledge and guide junior team members.

What We’re Looking For:

• C# .NET (Core)
• Angular.js, or React/Vue
• SQL
• Git
• NodeJS (a bonus)
• Container/Automation: Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible (advantageous)
• Cloud: Azure (preferred), AWS, Google Cloud Platform

• Experience: Proven software engineering experience in a commercial setting at a senior level.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with full-stack technologies including:
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and a passion for software development.
• Education: A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Post-graduate qualifications are highly valued.
