About the role

Join the talented team at Cotton Living as a Pastry Chef / Baker based in our Coolangatta, Queensland bakery. This full-time role is responsible for crafting a range of high-quality pastries, breads and desserts to delight our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing a variety of pastries, breads and desserts according to recipes and company standards
• Ensuring all ingredients, tools and workspaces are properly maintained and sanitised
• Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new and innovative baked goods
• Providing excellent customer service and assisting with retail sales when needed
• Tracking and managing inventory levels of baking supplies
• Adhering to all food safety and occupational health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

• Formal training as a Pastry Chef or Baker, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a commercial bakery or restaurant kitchen
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and inventory management
• Exceptional attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating delicious baked goods
