As a Positive Behaviour Support Therapist, you will work directly with children and young people, primarily in their home, school, or community settings, to identify their strengths and developmental needs. Initially, your goal will be to create a tailored and supportive Behaviour Support Plan that helps reduce your client's challenging behaviors, foster positive relationships, and empower them to live their best life.

Once the Behaviour Support Plan is finalised you will be working directly with them to develop their emotional awareness, empathy, communication capacity, coping skills and social skills. You'll also provide training and guidance to important people in the young person's life to promote consistent and positive care, focused on the child and their needs. We work with the client's family, the school and other trusted adults to ensure we have a full picture of the child's strengths and challenges.
