About the Role
Danpal Australia is seeking a skilled Warehouse Fabrication Leading Hand to join our growing team in Auburn. This hands-on role is perfect for an experienced aluminium fabricator, glazier, or tradesperson with strong technical skills and leadership abilities. You will be responsible for cutting, fabricating, and assembling aluminium and polycarbonate systems, as well as supporting the team as required to ensure high-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warehouse Leadership: Lead a small 3–4-person team, including labour hire staff, and coordinate tasks efficiently whilst motivating, coaching and disciplining team members as needed.
• Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, mitre, and assemble aluminium and polycarbonate components with precision.
• Quality Control: Ensure all products meet Danpal’s high standards before dispatch.
• Stock Management: Work closely with warehouse and logistics to manage materials and plan workload effectively.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment whilst optimising Warehouse space utilisation.
• Crating & Packaging: Construct wooden crates for secure product transportation.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting (aluminium, glazing, or metalwork preferred).
• Proven hands-on experience with tools (cutting, measuring, and assembling).
• Strong ability to lead and organise a warehouse team.
• Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with scheduling and workflow planning in a production environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and PPE compliance.
