About the role

Reporting to the Centre Manager, this full-time Pool Duty Manager role is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Swimmerz Academy in Caringbah, NSW.

As the Pool Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of the swimming pool facility. This is a key position that plays a vital role in maintaining Swimmerz Academy's reputation for delivering exceptional customer service and a high-quality swimming experience.

What You Will Be Doing

• Supervising and managing a team of pool lifeguards to ensure efficient pool operations
• Monitoring pool water quality, safety, and hygiene standards to comply with all relevant regulations
• Coordinating the scheduling and assignment of pool staff to ensure adequate coverage during all operating hours
• Handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Maintaining detailed records and reporting on pool operations, incidents, and safety issues
• Assisting with the coordination of swimming lessons, events, and other pool-related activities
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing effective solutions

What We Are Looking or

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the sport and recreation industry
• Strong understanding of pool operations, water quality management, and workplace health and safety regulations
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team
• Proficiency in using relevant pool management software and technologies
• A current Pool Lifeguard qualification.
