Kid Speak is a specialist, paediatric speech pathology practice. We provide therapy to all kids. We are a private clinic providing clinic based therapy across two locations, Shenton Park and Success. We are a vibrant, fun team and love providing speech therapy to our families! We have beautiful, modern offices filled with amazing resources! We are also NDIS registered.
Our Speech Pathologists provide evidence based interventions to children presenting with delays and disabilities relating to swallowing and communication. Kid Speak has two established practices in Shenton Park and Success and is seeking both full time and part time applicants to join both clinics! If you are a grad, we’d love to hear from you too- we structured supervision, paid PD and team meetings, you will feel supported as you start your career as a Speechie!

About the role
- Formal and informal assessment of paediatric communication and swallowing disorders.
- Implementation of outstanding care and treatment to children and adolescents with varying diagnosis including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Global Developmental Delay
- Receptive and expressive language delays/disorders
- Literacy support
- Learning difficulties and language delays
- Issues with articulation and stuttering
- Phonological difficulties
- Social skills delay.
- Design, implement, and review therapy plans with clients and Therapy Assistants.
- Liaise with external providers such as educational staff, allied health providers and medical teams.
Skills and experience
Successful applicants will hold tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and current registration with Speech Pathology Australia. You must also be eligible for registration with Medicare.
You will need experience in/knowledge of paediatrics, delivering speech therapy and assessments to children. Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar role; however, if you are interested in starting your career in this field, we are open to speaking with you too.
Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will have a demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Applicants must be passionate and enthusiastic about providing outstanding speech pathology services.
Prior to commencement, you would need a current Working with Children Check and a National Police Clearance.
