  • Play a key role in shaping and enhancing the agency’s risk management, audit, and corporate governance frameworks, directly influencing executive decision-making and organisational resilience.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and external stakeholders to drive a strong risk culture, provide high-level advice, and contribute to the agency’s strategic direction.
  • Operate in a diverse and complex environment, managing sensitive information, overseeing investigations, and implementing best-practice risk and audit controls within a dynamic government setting.

Provide high-level advice and support to the Director on risk management, audit, and corporate governance. Foster a strong risk management culture by developing policies, implementing monitoring mechanisms, and facilitating staff training. Oversee reporting to the Risk and Audit Committee, ensuring action items are progressed. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to enhance risk management and governance activities. Adhere to service quality and workplace safety standards to ensure effective and safe service delivery.

Extensive experience in applying risk management frameworks, assessing risks, and implementing controls within large organisations. Strong understanding of audit principles, including coordinating investigations and monitoring responses to findings. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders through negotiation and reporting. Proven ability to provide high-level advice on legislation, policies, and governance, particularly in risk management and audit controls. Experienced in handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
