New Exciting Role!
The Therapeutic Intake & Brief Intervention Clinician coordinates the initial assessment process for Therapeutic Services.
The core functions of this role are to support all individuals and their families through entry into therapeutic programs, providing safe, effective and compassionate assessment of therapeutic needs including therapeutic readiness. The Clinician will provide brief intervention to clients where appropriate including co-facilitating therapeutic group work.
Selection Criteria:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline. Qualifications must align with the Mandatory Minimum Qualification Requirements for Specialist Family Violence Workers (Recommendation 209).
- Demonstrated ability to undertake comprehensive psychosocial and relevant risk assessments with clients and their families including relevant legislation underpinning these areas of practice.
- Demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic support, particularly in the context of brief intervention and group work.
- Demonstrated knowledge of trauma, attachment and neurobiology frameworks and theories.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external service providers.
