Position Overview:
Nature’s Academy seeks a dedicated and experienced Lead Educator to join our passionate team. In this leadership role, you will create and implement high-quality educational programs for children aged 0–6, ensuring a nurturing and engaging learning environment. As a Lead Educator, you will mentor and support fellow educators, fostering a collaborative and inspiring workplace. Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum & Programming: Design, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).
- Mentorship & Leadership: Guide and support educators, providing coaching and feedback to enhance team performance and professional growth.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate observations, learning stories, and assessments to track children's development and progress.
- Family & Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with children, families, and the wider community, ensuring open and effective communication.
- Environment & Safety: Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes positive outcomes for all children.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to relevant policies, regulations, and ethical guidelines, including the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics.
About You:
- Qualifications: Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Experience: Previous experience in a Lead Educator or senior role within an early childhood setting.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of EYLF, NQS, and early childhood development principles.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor and inspire a team while fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and colleagues.
- Certifications: Valid Working with Children Check, First Aid/CPR, and Child Protection training.
- Professionalism: High standard of personal presentation and a strong commitment to professional development
