The Position

Our client, a highly respected design and construct firm, is looking for a skilled Lead Carpenter to take charge of exciting outdoor education projects. This role offers the chance to craft inspiring, interactive play spaces for kids-bringing creative designs to life with high-quality craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and executing carpentry projects from start to finish
• Leading and mentoring a team of carpenters and apprentices
• Reading and interpreting plans to ensure precision in execution
• Coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and clients
  
  

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a qualified carpenter who thrives in a leadership role and enjoys working on unique projects outside of traditional residential or commercial building.

To be successful, you'll need:

• Minimum 3+ years of trade experience as a qualified carpenter
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and interact with customers
• Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality work
• Advanced timber and woodworking experience (ideal but not essential)
• Creative mindset with the ability to work within a team environment
• Experinece in outdoor education, playscapes ideal but not required
