About the role

LG Building Projects is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team in Rockhampton, QLD. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of our construction projects, utilising your exceptional woodworking skills and attention to detail. This will start with causal and can lead to a full-time position, offering the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organization within the Carpentry

What you'll be doing

• Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to plan and execute carpentry tasks
• Perform a variety of woodworking duties including framing, flooring, roofing, and cabinetry installation
• Ensure all work meets industry standards and safety requirements
• Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate and complete tasks efficiently
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Contribute to a safe and productive work environment

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, building codes, and safety regulations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transportation
