We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Environmental and Hazardous Materials Consultant to join a strong OHS&E Consulting team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that values expertise, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.
The Role
As an Environmental and Hazardous Materials Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional consulting services across various environmental and hazardous materials projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Investigating and managing contaminated sites, including remediation and risk assessments.
- Conducting asbestos monitoring and fibre count laboratory work.
- Completing hazardous materials and asbestos surveys, management plans, and clearance inspections.
- Supervising asbestos removal projects on-site.
- Preparing technical reports, scopes of work, and offering expert advice.
- Managing client relationships and ensuring project delivery aligns with timelines and budgets.
- Supporting business development efforts to contribute to team growth.
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering or Science.
- A current Asbestos Assessors License and 3 - 5+ years’ experience in Environmental or Hazardous Materials Consulting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and legislation.
- Excellent communication skills for both client engagement and team collaboration.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to provide innovative solutions.
- A proactive approach to business development and mentoring junior staff.
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
