Injury Management Officer, Clerk Grade 5/6, Wollongong
An exciting opportunity exists for the right candidate to join an initiative-taking and dynamic injury management team. This role will assist with case management of both staff and volunteer claims at the NSW SES.

What is on Offer:
- Salary in the range of $93,295.00 - $102,941.00
- Plus 11.5% superannuation and leave loading
- Flexible work location: based at State Headquarters in Wollongong
About the Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Injury Management Officer who can take on a caseload and meet the needs of the agency in returning injured volunteers and staff to their duties. Experience collaborating with volunteers is advantageous however not required, as training will be provided. You will be part of a small yet dynamic injury management team that actively collaborates with insurers to facilitate our members return to the workplace and/or their volunteering duties.

About you
To be successful in this role you will:
- You must have at a minimum, a current Return to Work Coordinator Certificate that meets SIRA requirements.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of legislation: i.e. Workers Compensation Act 1987 and Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998.
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in a Return to Work role and/or have sound knowledge of injury management, rehabilitation principles and case management.
- Be able to work with all our stakeholders, volunteers and staff as well as insurers to bring injured members back to duties.
- Have a collaborative approach when supporting members through their injury management journey to recovery
- Possess the ability to plan, organise and prioritise your case load to meet work demands in an emergency service agency.
- Have demonstrated experience using an injury and claims management system (e.g. Solv or other case management system).
