We currently have an opportunities available for capable and experienced labourers for work with a road maintenance team based in the Yass area. Tasks of this role will include attending call outs (including traffic control), road pavement repairs, guard rail installation/replacement, sign erection, pot hole patching, traffic control, installing guide posts, general rubbish removal from road sides and rest areas.

Due to the requirement to be available for call-out work, applicants will need to reside within reasonable travel distance to Yass (30-45 minute commute as a maximum).

Current traffic control card is an essential criteria for this role.

This role will involve working full time hours of work (8.5 hours/day - 9 day/76 hour fortnight) for 3 months initially, with a genuine potential for further work for good quality workers. An immediate start of work is available.

An attractive hourly pay rate is being offered, including overtime penalty rates for additional hours of work.

Successful Applicants will need;

• current WHS White Card - essential
• current unencumbered driver licence - essential
• Worker On Foot card - or willingness to obtain (online link able to be provided for successful applicant)
• Traffic Control ticket essential
• good all round fitness for manual work tasks
• previous experience with road/civil construction or maintenance will be highly regarded
