Assistant Manager / Sales Representative – Timber Division

Shepparton Store – Full Time Position

A vacancy exists for an experienced Trade Sales Assistant Manager / Sales Representative interested in the Building/ Trade Industry at our Shepparton Mitre 10 store in Northern Victoria. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced salesperson to join a friendly, highly successful company with 11 outlets in country Victoria.

The Primary responsibilities of the position are;

• Assisting the Timber Manager in obtaining the divisions business goals
• Actively prospect and identify new trade customers to grow the business
• Manage a portfolio of existing trade accounts, ensuring their needs are met while building long-term relationships
• Processing trade and retail sales of timber, hardware, and other building products
• Providing quality customer service and support to our loyal customer base
• Producing quotes for our customers and following up on all sales enquiries
• Weekly stock counts on trade products
• Procurement of stock to meet customer demand
• Receiving stock into our computer system
• Deliveries to our Trade and DIY Clients

The successful applicant will require;

• Sales experience in a trade environment, with a passion for customer service
• A strong knowledge of timber-based building products
• Demonstrated literacy and numeracy skills with an attention to detail
• Excellent verbal communication, customer service and organisation skills
• A positive can-do attitude with an elevated level of self-motivation
• A current manual driver’s licence and forklift licence
• A solid Manual Handling technique
• The ability to work a weekend roster rotation
