Elite Elevator Corporation, a leader in the residential elevator industry with a fast-growing nationwide presence, is seeking a seasoned accountant to join our team at our Southbank, Melbourne head office. With over 5 years of experience in both financial and management accounting, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive individual. The role includes the everyday running of accounts, including managing payables and receivables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage everyday running of accounts, including payables and receivables.
• Prepare comprehensive documents for tax return filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations.
• Engage in the month-end process, including reporting, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
• Maintain rigorous compliance with accounting standards and manage audit requests efficiently.
• Oversee the fixed asset register, payroll, BAS preparation, and lodgements.
• Execute monthly general ledger reconciliations and reporting.
• Create detailed financial reports for management, advising on financial efficiencies.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements with precision.
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies effectively.
• Audit and reconcile departmental accounts, ensuring accuracy and coherence.
• Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and financial planning.
• Address ad hoc duties as required, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving acumen.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in both financial and management accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Profound knowledge of Xero accounting software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
