Your role and impact:
As an Employment Development Partner your core responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Manage the employment pipeline of participants including, Intake, Discovery, Onboarding, Goal Setting (initial), Transition of Services and Exits=.
- Maintain employment paperwork in the Customer Relationship Management Software for all prospective, new and supported employees or participants
- Work with Employment Operations team to find suitable job opportunities for participants
- Significant external customer liaison with DES providers and employment partners
- Future projects including rostering, scheduling, Supportability enhancements etc
- Support the wider team to deliver the Open employer and employee targets within the Board-approved Strategy
- Take initiative by identifying, and supporting the delivery of, a range of commercially viable solutions for Open employers, such as consultancy supports, corporate training, customised employment programs and contract labour hire arrangements
- Build relationships with Open employers that deliver substantive employment opportunities at a full Award wage, or higher, for people with disability and ensure these relationships achieve a sufficient financial margin for Good Sammy
- Ensure that every staff member with disability who has an Open Employment Goal has access to and receives the necessary job ready training (inc. CV, Cover Letter and Interview preparedness) in line with their employment goal and upon placement, ongoing supports to maximise the chance of success of the placement and ongoing retention. This will include active liaison with the Good Sammy People and Diversity and Academy Team
- Represent Good Sammy in meetings, expos, conferences and events, which may include delivering presentations and public speaking to showcase Good Sammy as the open employment pathways partner for business and people with disability
- You will be required to undergo external inductions with host employers of labour hire programmes to gain access on site for the purpose of, hosting tours for potential participants, supervising employees, assisting training
What you need to make a difference:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong commercial acumen and experience in business development or relationship management, ideally within recruitment or labour hire.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building strategic partnerships to support organisational growth. You should be an exceptional networker and communicator, capable of cultivating relationships with stakeholders across diverse sectors, including government, corporate, and community levels.
Key responsibilities will include case load management, administration, financial oversight, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly those facing employment barriers, is essential. A relevant qualification in an area such as business, project management or marketing would be highly desired.
