About the Role:
As a Part-Time Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for creating and selling customised golf travel packages to our customers. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, design itineraries, book travel arrangements, and ensure a seamless and memorable travel experience. Crucially, you will be expected to uphold and embody our company values in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultations & Sales: Conducting client consultations (phone, video call and email) with a focus on understanding their travel needs, budget, and golfing preferences, while ensuring a fun and engaging experience. Developing and presenting tailored golf travel packages, including accommodation, tee times, tours, and transportation. Actively pursuing sales opportunities and achieving sales targets, always operating with honesty and transparency.
- Itinerary Planning & Booking: Creating detailed and accurate itineraries, including booking flights, accommodation, golf courses, transfers, and other travel-related services. Managing bookings and ensuring all arrangements are confirmed. Prioritising options that contribute to the client's health and wellness where possible.
- Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service throughout the entire travel process, from initial inquiry to post-trip follow-up. Addressing client queries and resolving any issues that may arise with honesty and transparency.
- Supplier Management: Liaising with suppliers (hotels, golf courses, tour operators, etc.) to negotiate rates and ensure quality service, building strong partnerships and aiming for win-win outcomes.
- Marketing & Promotion: Contributing to marketing initiatives, such as social media engagement and content creation (desirable).
- Administration: Maintaining accurate records of bookings, payments, and client communications. Preparing and sending invoices.
- Product Knowledge: Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of our destinations, golf courses, and travel services. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and new offerings.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in travel consulting or a related field (preferred but not essential for exceptional candidates).
- Passion for golf and a good understanding of the game is not essential but preferrable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in using travel booking systems (ideally Travefy), Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of Australian, New Zealand, Asian, and/or Mauritian travel destinations is a plus.

Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible hours to be discussed.
Location: Perth, Western Australia (working remotely interstate may be possible for the right candidate).
