Our Client, a large Federal Government Department located in Canberra is seeking an experienced Penetration Tester to join their team for a long term contract. The Penetration Tester (PENT 5) will analyse IT systems to determine configuration weaknesses and faults that would impact on security and business then produce reports detailing the findings and recommendations for improved network security.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing of ICT applications and gateway infrastructure;
• Utilise a number of testing techniques, frameworks and tools;
• Develop specific plans and procedures for penetration tests;
• Record approaches, techniques and results for reports;
• Produce penetration test reports;
• Recommend technical solutions for identified vulnerabilities;
• Work ethically and to agreed penetration test guidelines and objectives;
• As required, undertake any other tasks as requested by the Technical teams.

Essential Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated experience with or knowledge of Australian Government information security policies, the ASD Information Security Manual and Essential Eight.
