SCHADS Level: Level 5-6 beginning at $97,377-$111,092 per annum pro rata plus salary sacrificing
Status: Initial 12 month contract with extension
Hours: 0.6-0.8 FTE as negotiated

Women’s Health and Equality Queensland (WHEQ) are leaders in women’s health, gender equality, and the primary prevention of violence. We are a not-for-profit organisation that has been improving health outcomes for women for over 40 years. Our work focusses on HEALTHY WOMEN and SYSTEMS CHANGE and includes counselling and support services, healing and recovery after violence, health promotion, community violence prevention, professional education, capacity building, systems leadership and policy development.

Our work focusses on creating better outcomes for cohorts experiencing the highest rates of health disadvantage and inequality. We are a pro-choice organisation that supports people with diverse bodies, sexualities and gender identities. Our head office is located on unceded Jagera and Turrbal Land in South Brisbane, with many of our services spanning across the entire state.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Partnerships and Fundraising Officer, you will:

  • Design and implement our fundraising strategy: Lead WHEQ’s fundraising efforts by securing grants, philanthropic funding, and/or corporate sponsorships.
  • Engage donors and corporate partners: Build and sustain a robust support base through effective relationship management.
  • Communicate for impact: Craft compelling funding proposals, events, and reports that highlight WHEQ’s work and engage new and existing funders.
  • Develop key systems: Create and refine processes to identify, track, evaluate, and enhance fundraising and partnership efforts.
