About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Technician (Health Sciences) to provide technical support in our laboratories, assisting undergraduate and postgraduate students, academic staff, and researchers within the School of Health Sciences.
In this role, you will maintain, calibrate, and operate specialized equipment across disciplines such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, dietetics, nursing, and biomedical sciences. You will also provide training and support for laboratory and clinical activities.
Working closely with the Technical Services team and academic staff, you will ensure smooth operations, advise on equipment and consumables, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance laboratory services. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Experience in the procurement, operation and maintenance of a wide range of Health Sciences equipment
- Well-developed word processing, spreadsheet and database skills. Familiarity with the use of propriety software for laboratory or clinical equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with the use of digital programs for Health Sciences including, but not limited to, simulation software, teleconferencing software, recording software, and electronic medical records databases
- Good understanding of occupational health and safety and other statutory and reporting requirements relevant to clinical and teaching environments

Qualifications
A relevant degree in a health-related discipline, or significant equivalent industry experience
