Job Description

Ready to Launch Your Leadership Journey? Become an OSHC Assistant Coordinator at Yarrilee State School Helping Hands!

Are you passionate about working with kids and looking to develop your leadership skills in a fun, supportive environment? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

We're on the lookout for a dynamic Assistant Coordinator to join our Yarrilee team. If you love leading a group of enthusiastic Educators and want to create a play-filled, exciting atmosphere for primary-school-aged children, then this is the role for you!

This permanent part-time position offers 32 hours per week, with the flexibility to take on extra hours during school holidays. You’ll be supporting our morning and afternoon programs, helping kids get their day started or winding down with some fun-filled after-school activities.

What You’ll Be Doing – Your Adventure Starts Here!

Get ready to co-manage a high-energy team of Educators, all while developing your leadership potential. This is your chance to be part of a vibrant, supportive community that thrives on fun, creativity, and teamwork.

Your role will include:

  • Leading fun-filled programs where children explore everything from STEM and sports to arts & crafts (whatever sparks their imagination!).
  • Fostering strong connections with children, parents, and the school community to create a nurturing environment.
  • Managing a team of passionate Educators, including organizing rosters and helping them grow in their roles.
  • Assisting with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring everything runs smoothly, including compliance and administration.

What We’re Looking For – Is This You?

While we’re excited to train and guide you in the role, here’s what you’ll need to bring:

✔️ A genuine love for working with children and making an impact.
✔️ Strong communication skills—you’ll be guiding and supporting others!
✔️ The ability to work well in a team and the desire to grow into a leadership role.
✔️ A National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain them).
✔️ Australian work rights.
✔️ A relevant qualification or be actively working towards one (per ACECQA standards).

What’s in It for You? – Let’s Talk Perks!

Career Growth & Training – This is your launchpad to a leadership career!
Employee Referral Program – Earn up to $1,000 for referring a friend.
Exclusive Discounts – Health insurance, fitness & wellness services, and family discounts for our programs!
Extra Perks – Access to the Early Childhood Worker Retention Grant and other awesome employee benefits.
