As a Project Officer you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing training programs to enhance employability.
Your role will be to deliver a high quality, individually tailored service.
1. Program Planning & Development
- Coordinate various training programs based on industry needs.
- Collaborating with stakeholders (employers, training providers, government agencies) to align training content with job market demands.
- Setting objectives, timelines, and budgets for training initiatives.
2. Project Coordination & Implementation
- Overseeing the delivery of training programs, ensuring they run smoothly.
- Coordinating trainers, facilitators, and external partners.
- Monitoring participant progress and addressing any challenges.
- Motivating people to understand and trust their abilities and removing their perceived barriers
- Ensuring compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
- Creating individually tailored plans and coordinate or provide individual mentoring sessions for each participant weekly while completing the training program and any work experience placement.
- Building a network of local employers and support warm introductions with the job seeker and employer
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Building relationships with employers to create job placement opportunities for trainees.
- Engaging with community organizations to reach target participants.
- Communicating with government bodies for funding and policy alignment.
4. Monitoring & Evaluation
- Tracking training outcomes (e.g., employment rates, skill improvements).
- Collecting feedback from participants and employers to improve programs.
- Evaluate the success of each intake by soliciting feedback from participants and employers and implement appropriate improvements to future intakes of the training program.
5. Administrative & Financial Management
- Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effective training delivery.
- Handling documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Apply for new eligible grants that would add to revenue growth and program diversification of Ignite Potential.
- Establish and document governance frameworks for the activity and manage the overall Work Health & Safety and Risk and Financial Compliance of the organization.

- Strong customer service skills
- Strong experience in writing grants and acquiring them
- Experience in managing multiple programs simultaneously involving administration and operations of the programs
- Experience working with people from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) background
- A current driver's license
- A current Ochre Card (Working with children)
Desired Criteria
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience in Not for profit sector
- Fluency in other languages
Qualifications:
- Graduate Diploma & above
