What is the opportunity?

Oakey Beef Exports is currently recruiting a full time First Aid Officer for our mid-morning shift 10.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm Friday

Position responsibilities:

  • Treating all employees first aid needs e.g. treatment of wounds, aches & pains.
  • Recording and investigating workplace injuries and accidents
  • Recording applied first aid treatments into the company data base.
  • Help coordinate employee Q-Fever Vaccinations
  • Responsible hygiene requirements of the first aid facility.
  • Daily reporting to management regarding first aid issues and treatments
  • Responding to emergency requirements.
  • Maintain sufficient first aid supplies and order in conjunction with procurement officer any short falls in stocks.
  • Managing third party occupational therapy site visits.
  • Recording of pre-employment medical and other employment documents.
  • Other duties required to support HR and plant operations.
  • Ability to work some Saturdays when required

  • Advanced first aid certificate/ Occupation First Aid Skill Set.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professional attitude to work.
  • Good communication skills on all levels are essential.
  • Reliable, respectful confidential and punctual
  • Basic Microsoft office knowledge
  • A strong focus on Health and Safety for all team members.
  • A commitment to personal learning and development.
