About the Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Maintenance Technician / Electrician to join our team in Box Hill, Victoria.

Reporting to the Operations Manager:

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as continuous batch washing machines, dryers, ironer lines, conveyors, compressors, and pumps
• Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, push buttons, contractors, motor starters, etc. as needed (low voltage)
• Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
• Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment
• Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs
• Conduct other ad-hoc tasks as required

In this role, you will work a changing shift schedule and on a rotating weekend. 38 Hrs. per week plus overtime and rotating weekend work.

About You

As the successful applicant, you will be a Maintenance Technician that has:

• Experience with Pneumatics, mechanics, basic repairs and fabrication.
• The ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.
• Excellent time management skills
• The ability to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.
• Basic knowledge of computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software

Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is an asset and will be looked upon favourably.

Consideration will be given to individuals with laundry equipment repair and maintenance experience.
