As a result of continuous national growth, Lai Switchboard Australia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join one of our drafting departments within our head office in Adelaide. We would like someone who is excited about the opportunity to build a stable, rewarding, and lucrative career with us.

Schedule:

Full-time position.

38-hour week, Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime.

Waged position ($32.00ph + regular overtime)

The Position:

We are currently seeking Mechanical Engineers. You will have the opportunity to work on different projects ranging from a variety of different switchboards and switchrooms to meet customer requirements.

Key Competencies and Skills:

• Develop and analyse project information and determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units.
• Establish work measurement programs and review/analyse work samples to develop standards and labour allocation.
• Design mechanical equipment, machines, components, and products for manufacture.
• Develop specific materials, equipment, piping, and flow for manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Maintain a quality standard of work and strive for continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in a team environment and on your own if required.
• Punctual.
• Reliable.
• Enthusiastic.
• Innovative.

Desirable Competencies:

• Experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Qualification as a Mechanical Engineer
• Driver’s License
