About the role

QT Canberra is seeking a superstar kitchen steward to join our kitchen team, working across our signature restaurant Capitol Bar & Grill as well as our Conferencing & Events kitchens. This is an opportunity to work in an expansive and well-equipped kitchen, focused around our wood fired grill.

Key Responsibilities.

• Ensure that QT Canberra produces a high-quality food product at all times.
• Monitor all food storage facilities to ensure that proper storage techniques are being used and that the cleanliness standards are being maintained.
• Requisition the appropriate amount of food product in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
• Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team.
• Comply with all of the established operational policies & procedures.
• Maintain a clean & safe working environment.
• Have a full knowledge of, and practice all of the established occupational health and safety guidelines (OH&S).
• Perform any other duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
