Melbourne based hedge fund is looking for a seasoned engineer to work on mid-frequency trading systems with an APAC reach. Small team with a broad role that will give you ownership and responsibility across the whole dev environment and working directly with founders and trading.

Team

The team is responsible for contributing C# code to Applications within the clients live trading systems as well as troubleshooting and resolving general support related issues for applications developed by the team. The role also entails working across teams to gather requirements, engage in technical design meetings and assist in code reviews.

All the team come from a highly technical seasoned development background with the ability to combine lean, resilient and performance C# code with large back end data sets.

Role

This position is looking for a Mid / Senior developer that brings a wealth of technical knowledge and experience creating robust, multithreaded, real time systems with C#.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in C# application development (7yrs+)
• Thorough knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms
• Experience with Go, C++ & Python
• Knowledge of Traded Financial Service Products (Desirable)
• Strong Communication skills with Traders

This role would be suited for people coming from global investment bank, asset management company, energy trading company as a senior or lead developer on either the software or database side. A passion for C# coding excellence is required as well as an innovative approach to technical problem solving. Financial Services Experience is desired but not required
