About the Role
The Project Support Officer provides vital administrative and project support to Program Directors and Project Managers within the Project Services portfolio. Responsibilities include assisting with documentation, reporting, purchase orders, contractual agreements, and updating information in the Enterprise Project Management System (EPMS), ensuring efficient project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing project administration support to Program Directors and Project Managers, including documentation, reporting, and project coordination.
- Supporting time sheeting, cash flow management, scheduling, and managing purchase orders and invoices.
- Coordinating meetings, booking venues and resources, preparing agendas, and taking minutes with timely follow-up on action items.
- Assisting with travel arrangements for project resources, supporting process updates, and ensuring compliance with OH&S and risk management frameworks.
Who we are looking for
You will have strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and complete tasks on time in a busy environment. You will also demonstrate a commitment to quality client service, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Additionally, you will be skilled in preparing reports that are fit for purpose.
You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining a focus on outcomes and results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Experience working with construction-related documentation, controls, and contract administration.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
