What Will You Do?
As a Custodial Correctional Officer (CCO), no two days are the same. You will be an essential part of Queensland’s Correctional Centres, supporting prisoner rehabilitation while ensuring safety and security. Your duties may include:
• Inducting prisoners into the centre
• Overseeing accommodation units
• Supervising prisoner education, training & employment
• Supporting cultural programs
• Writing reports & case notes
• Conducting searches & perimeter surveillance
• Escorting prisoners externally
