About the Role
We are seeking an experienced sub-contractor Trainer and Assessor to deliver and assess mental health peer work units of competency, including CHCPWK001, CHCPWK002, CHCPWK003, and CHCPWK004 OR CHCPWK005, as components of CHC43515 Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting students with lived experience of mental illness (either as consumers or carers), to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to provide effective peer support within the mental health sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality training in mental health peer work, in accordance with training package requirements.
- Provide mentoring and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess student competencies and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain compliance with training and assessment standards.
- Work collaboratively with Tea-Cup College to uphold educational excellence.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) – Essential.
- Relevant qualification in Mental Health Peer Work
- Current industry experience in mental health peer work role
- Lived experience
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Commitment to student success and empowerment.
