The Team Leader Mental Health is a full-time, fixed term contract until June 30, 2025 and leads a team based across Bundaberg, Hervey Bay and Kingaroy. There is potential for the position to become permanent subject to government funding. Our compassionate Mental Health team is focused on helping:

We provide a range of mental health programs that provide safe and inclusive spaces to help people:

  • Develop life skills and build confidence
  • Connect with others through shared experiences
  • Access tools and resources to support mental health recovery
  • Navigate challenges

We are looking for Team Leader who can:

  • Provide direction, guidance, coaching and training to staff
  • Lead internal meetings and represent IMPACT with professionalism at external events/functions
  • Ensure compliance with operational guidelines, legislation and policies
  • Monitor, mentor and assist the team to achieve contractual Key Performance Indicators
  • Compile internal and external reporting
  • Complete Performance Development Reviews with staff and process payroll activities such as timesheets

This is a great opportunity if you ...

  • Have a Certificate IV in Mental Health, Peer Work or similar, or are currently enrolled in study
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams
  • High level written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to exercise tact, courtesy and judgement whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • Have a track record as a team player and commitment to great customer service
