We are growing our team and are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us scale our infrastructure and enhance our development workflows.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. This is a hybrid role, allowing you to work both from home and in our office. As a DevOps Engineer at Nexvia, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software deployments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerised applications.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment and testing.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code, currently using Terraform and Helm, while evaluating and adapting to new tools as needed.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), but experience with AWS or Azure is also valuable).
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve system scalability, security, and performance.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud environments for high availability.
  • Build and maintain automation tools for software development and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and policies.
  • Design practical, sustainable technology solutions to address team challenges and reduce dependencies.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes – hands-on experience managing clusters.
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Experience with Helm for Kubernetes application management.
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure-as-code(other IAC experience is valuable).
  • Proven CI/CD experience, including tools like Jenkins, Tekton, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD.
  • Cloud experience with GCP (preferred), AWS, or Azure.
  • Ability to build clusters and infrastructure from scratch.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Good communication skills and a team-player mindset.
