We are partnering with a leading Australian superannuation & wealth management provider to assist them in identifying a Senior Tax Manager to join their highly regarded Tax team in a newly created role, based in either Melbourne or Sydney.

The position reports to the Head of Tax (Super, Investments & Platforms) and will be responsible for all tax compliance, advice and reporting obligations for the super fund (master trust) and investment WRAP platform.

The role will predominantly focus on the preparation of tax provisions and lodgment of tax filings plus all other compliance obligations, whilst additionally supporting the provision of tax advice for business led initiatives, change and broader process automation and improvements.

Furthermore, the role will oversee and manage all tax services provided by their custodian, calculate and pay PAYG instalment income and maintain engagement with tax authorities on all compliance and reporting obligations.

Candidate Experience

CA/CPA qualified with post graduate qualifications in Taxation preferred, the successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Australian tax system, with a specific focus on the taxation of superannuation funds.

This experience may have been gained in either an inhouse tax compliance or outsourced superannuation taxation role, or a Big 4 Chartered Accounting environment.

Whatever your background, you will have a strong attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, plus a willingness to be hands on and actively contribute to target operating model design and implementation.
