About the Role
As a Senior Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing this organisation's direct tax obligations. A sizeable player within their field, this role will have a key focus on ensuring robust tax governance, compliance, as well as managing tax related risks. This would be an ideal next move for a driven candidate who has experience within a large corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assist with quarterly, half year and yearly tax effect accounting
• Consolidated tax return including supporting schedules working closely with other functions
• Manage tax risks relating to global tax initiatives and direct taxes
• Lead, manage and mentor a team
• Business partner with business unit CFO's to ensure direct tax obligations are met
• Managing and overseeing Australian tax audits

About You

• Professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, CTA) with a strong academic background in taxation
• Experience with tax effect accounting
• Proven track record of mentoring and leading people
• Experience in a large Australian corporate or with large multinational organisations is highly desirable
• Prior experience gained within a Big 4/Mid-tier environment will be considered as highly advantageous
