Our client, a global financial services organisation are seeking a strategic thinker with a passion for driving business growth.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Commercial division, focusing on developing and refine their long-term strategy. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive growth, enhance customer value, and improve overall portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and refinement of long-term strategic plans for the Commercial division, aligning with the broader business strategy.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis, competitive bench marking, and customer trend research to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to translate strategy into actionable plans and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure strategic objectives are understood and executed effectively.
  • Lead product reviews and implement actions through the delivery of remediation plans.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders and providing support for emerging opportunities and challenges.
  • Lead and manage high-impact projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and efficient execution.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of key strategic programs through effective program management and governance.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Proven experience in strategy development and execution within the financial services sector.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Economics, Finance or similar, MBA preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
  • Takes ownership and works well under pressure to meet time-lines while effectively escalating issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
