What We’re Looking For

We're seeking a natural leader with a big heart and a strong mind who can support on the ground and manage and inspire teams in the disability sector. You should:

• Experience: Have 2+ years of leadership or management experience in disability, health, or related fields. Experience with SIL, High Behaviours, or High Needs is highly desirable.
• Health & Wellness: Be health-conscious, passionate about fitness, self-improvement, and leading by example.
• Operational Excellence: Understand rostering, team management, and using care software like ShiftCare.
• Communication: Possess strong communication skills to network, build relationships, and engage stakeholders.
• NDIS Savvy: Be well-versed in NDIS processes
• Resilience: Thrive in challenging environments, with experience managing participants with disabilities and/or mental health conditions.
• Business Acumen: Bring business development skills to support growth and sustainability (highly desirable).
• Bonus: Experience in Men’s Work, Coaching, Youth Work, or Residential Care—or transferable skills from the Police, Military, Martial Arts, Security, or Professional Sports sectors.

Your Role

As our Disability Support Manager, you’ll wear many hats:

• Hands-On Support: You will start by spending 4-5 days a week providing direct support, transitioning over time to full-time management.
• Team Leadership: Guide support workers across Community Access services to ensure exceptional care.
• Behavioural Management: Lead and train teams to handle challenging behaviours effectively.
• Rostering: Develop and optimise rosters for smooth operations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Lead both in-person and online meetings with participants, families, and external stakeholders.
• Reporting: Craft impactful reports for stakeholders and NDIS requirements.
