Who you are
You are an experienced and dynamic professional with a passion for delivering high-quality library services and managing valuable collections. You have a strong understanding of library services, collections, and the evolving needs of academic stakeholders. You are tech-savvy, an excellent communicator, and are committed to enhancing the university community’s access to essential information resources.
What you'll do
As a Collections Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the University community has timely access to vital collections that support education and research. You’ll also be responsible for:
- Leading the Collections team to appropriately support the acquisition of scholarly content.
- Supporting metadata description and maintaining accurate records for our library holdings.
- Overseeing the assessment and processing of licence agreements and invoices, ensuring compliance with university procurement policies and publisher licensing requirements.
- Supporting and undertaking negotiations, under the broad direction of the Senior Manager Collections and Repositories, for the procurement and licencing of scholarly content.
- Representing UniSQ as the Content Coordinator within the CAUL consortium and analysing, reporting and advising on vendor offers, new products and issues to support effective decision making and ensure negotiated agreements with publishers meet the needs of UniSQ.
What will help you succeed
To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
- A degree in library and information science or equivalent, with at least four years of library experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective engagement and collaboration across diverse groups.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
- Advanced knowledge of current technologies, systems, and data analytics, with the ability to implement innovative solutions in a library setting.
- A demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, creating a productive and positive work environment.
- Experience working with collections and information resources in academic, research, or specialist libraries.

Salary: Total remuneration range of $115,122 to $127,298 pa (includes salary range of $97,272 to $107,560 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17%, and annual leave loading)
