Earthworx is currently seeking to expand their workshop team for afternoon shift.

We are looking for a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic.

We have a very modern workshop in Mt Druitt with state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and tooling.

About the opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and team orientated Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to be based at our new facility to deliver hands on mechanical and technical support on our privately owned fleet of Vehicles.

Duties of the role

Service and maintain our fleet of truck and trailers (Kenworth and Mack)

Diagnose and repair faulty components

Report to workshop supervisor

Complete job cards and all related paperwork

Complete jobs to the highest standards to avoid rework

Keep work area tidy and clean

Essential Requirements

Cert 3 in heavy commercial vehicle mechanical technology

Current driver’s license (HR or HC license is an advantage)

White card preferable but not a must

Ability to work in a team or on your own

Be trustworthy, hardworking and take pride in your work

Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently

Experience on Kenworth, Mack, and trailers is desirable

Basic electrical and welding

You will need to have a proactive approach to your work with demonstrated experience working in a high performing team and have a methodical approach to problem solving.

The required shift will be 1pm - 9:30pm Monday - Friday (flexible hours for Friday) with the opportunity to do plenty of overtime and Saturday work

Shift loading and penalty rates on overtime

Double time after 10 hours
