About Us

Delion is an established Internet Service Provider (ISP) delivering high-performance internet, WiFi, and managed network solutions. We provide managed WiFi, internet, and network services to a range of industries, including:

  • Hotels, resorts, and holiday parks
  • Mining Camps
  • Shopping Centers
  • Business Customers

Our managed networks are fully owned and operated by us, even when deployed on customer premises. We are responsible for all aspects of network performance, security, and reliability.

We are looking for a Helpdesk Engineer (Level 1/2) to join our support team. This role involves a mix of proactive and reactive remote troubleshooting—not just responding to issues but also monitoring and maintaining network performance to prevent problems before they occur.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor network performance to detect and resolve issues before they impact customers.
  • Remotely troubleshoot and resolve network issues affecting our managed services, including internet connectivity, VLANs, DHCP, and routing.
  • Diagnose and optimize WiFi network performance, including RF interference, roaming issues, and access point configurations.
  • Escalate complex issues related to routing, switching, and connectivity to senior engineers.
  • Configure and maintain network equipment, including MikroTik, Ubiquiti, and Cisco devices.

Required Skills and Experience

  • VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP and Subnetting (not just theory!)
  • PPPoE, PPTP, OpenVPN
  • Switches and Routers (MikroTik, Ubiquiti and Cisco experience advantageous)
  • WiFi networks and RF troubleshooting (e.g., interference, signal strength issues)
  • Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting:
  • Ability to analyse network traffic and logs to diagnose issues.
  • Experience diagnosing Layer 2/3 network issues in a service provider environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills—able to explain technical issues internally and document resolutions clearly.
  • Experience working in an ISP, NOC, or MSP environment is highly desirable.

Interview Process – Technical Assessment Required

All candidates will be required to complete a technical assessment during the interview process to demonstrate their ability to configure and troubleshoot networks.

Why Join Us?

  • Work for an established ISP with direct access to real-world network operations.
  • Gain hands-on experience with an ISP-grade network and carrier-neutral datacenter environment.
  • Career growth opportunities in Network Engineering, NOC, and infrastructure management.
  • Be part of a technical team that manages and operates fully owned networks instead of just providing support for third-party systems.
