Position: Yard Assistant

📍 Location: Mackay, QLD
💰Salary: $36 - $38 per hour/$72K - $76K per annum
🕒Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
👷Reports To: Depot Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks safely using forklifts and other equipment
• Material handling – ensuring correct identification and organization of steel products
• Following WH&S protocols to maintain a safe working environment
• Conducting pre-start inspections and routine maintenance of yard equipment
• Logging jobs into the ERP system for accurate tracking
• Keeping the yard clean and organized for smooth operations

Who we’re seeking

• Experience in a yard, logistics, or warehouse environment (preferred)
• Ability to identify and handle different steel sections and products
• Strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety regulations
• A team player with great communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently with minimal supervision

Mandatory Requirements

✔ Current Driver’s License (C Class minimum)
✔ Forklift License (High-Risk Work License)
