Tax Advisor – Mining Industry

A leading global resources company is seeking an experienced Tax Advisor to join its Group Office. This internationally focused role provides tax advisory, planning, governance, and reporting services across global operations, development projects, exploration activities, and corporate businesses.

About the Role:

This role is a key part of an established Global Taxation Team, working across direct and indirect tax returns, tax-effect accounting, transfer pricing, tax budgeting/forecasting, and reporting. It offers a unique opportunity to expand your tax advisory capabilities within a complex, multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tax advisory services and ensure compliance with global tax regulations.

Manage direct and indirect tax returns, tax-effect accounting, and transfer pricing.

Support tax budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Collaborate with finance and commercial teams across various jurisdictions and time zones.

Ensure compliance with international tax rules, including double tax agreements, capital gains tax, and withholding tax.

Contribute to tax governance frameworks and risk management processes.

About You:

Experience in delivering complex tax advisory services and managing tax compliance within a multinational corporation and/or professional services firm.

Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CPA preferred). Postgraduate qualifications in International Tax or Taxation Law are highly regarded.

Strong knowledge of international tax rules and tax-effect accounting.

Familiarity with financial systems; experience with SAP is desirable.

Strong analytical skills, curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Background in large-scale, capital-intensive industries such as mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure is highly valued.

Salary:

Base - $130k - $140k + super
