We have a permanent opportunity for a Power Worker (Trade Assistant) located at Tara and are inviting applications from suitably qualified applicants.

Your opportunity
As a Power Work, you'll be a key contributor to the team, assisting our tradespersons to ensure the integrity of our LV and HV overhead powerlines and underground infrastructure for our communities.
Here’s how you’ll do it:
- Assist with the construction, maintenance, inspection, and repair of our overhead electrical distribution systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines in and around Tara.
- Perform a range of hands-on duties including general trades assistance and operation of equipment such as lifter/borers, EWPs and forklifts.

- Location Incentives:Non-Urban Zone Allowances up to $11,792 per annum.
Locality Allowance up to $894 per annum.
Housing Assistance options up to $7,441 per annum where approved.

What you'll bring:
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Experience in safety observing and ability to actively identify and implement risk control measures where needed.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs.
We’d also love you to have:
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence or the ability to obtain one prior to commencing.
- Current High Risk Work Licence (forklift, dogman, rigger, EWP >11m, VLC, C2 slewing crane).
- Availability for call out and emergency work and willingness to work overtime as required.
- Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
