We are proud to be representing this Community centred organisation with a widespread affiliate base of over 50,000 members across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, North and South America and the United Kingdom. This leadership role sits within a newly formed entity created to manage the global property portfolio across all of its associated regions. This new company has been charged with bringing greater global consistency and streamlined governance across the property portfolio; consolidating fragmented property trusts into and efficient structure as well as establishing an organisational structure for best practice property and venue management.
The Chief Financial Officer will be a hands-on, operationally focused leader responsible for the day-to-day financial management of a global organisation with a portfolio of over a thousand properties valued in excess of $2 billion. The CFO will oversee both operational expenditures (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX) across multiple regions and currencies and will collaborate closely with finance and compliance leaders in each region, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements. The CFO will be responsible for driving transformational improvement projects such as the implementation of a new ERP. The purpose of these projects will be to improve the management and governance for the overall entity and will include improvements to systems, processes and data management.
The CFO will also be responsible for developing and maintaining robust financial forecasts based on a globally consolidated 5-year plan. This includes integrating and reviewing financial plans from localities, regions and countries to create a global forecast presented annually to the Global Advisory Board. The 5-year plan must be updated regularly to reflect evolving priorities and conditions.
Qualification criteria:
- CPA, CA, CFA or equivalent financial certification.
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a multinational organisation, charity or Not For Profit.
- Expertise in managing OPEX and CAPEX in a multi-currency environment.
- Strong knowledge of international financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to consolidate and present complex financial data, including global forecasting and strategic planning.
- Experience collaborating with diverse teams across multiple countries and cultures.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a capacity to influence at all organizational levels.
Travel Requirements
This is a global role based in Australia. Regular international travel may be required to engage with country finance teams and stakeholders.
