About the role
We are seeking a full-time, experienced General Accountant to manage key financial responsibilities within our organization. The successful candidate will play a vital role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contributing to the company’s financial health and growth.

The successful applicant must be interested in serving the interests of our coworkers, clients, and customers at a value and satisfaction level.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Identify, report on, and analyse KPIs to monitor and improve the financial performance of the company.
• Develop, implement, and monitor budget, forecast, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Ability to work independently and harmoniously as part of a small but high-achieving team.
• Undertake regular financial audits as required to satisfy the External Tax accountants.
• Manage payroll accounts payable and receivable as required.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to maintain compliance and transparency.
• Assist external accountants in preparing annual income tax and Fringe Benefits Tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation.
• Oversee the preparation of consolidated monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS)
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Ensuring that internal processes and controls are maintained and continuously improved.
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP/ XERO) and Microsoft Excel
• Must have 2 Years of Music Business, accounting and royalty administration.
• A particular understanding of industrial Trial practice which a specific and particular to the independent sector of the Australian Music industry.
