Hindustan Imports is a family-owned food service distributor, with a manufacturing facility for re-cleaning and packing of dry food ingredients, including grains, seeds, nuts, spices and herbs.

We are seeking a Production Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Dandenong, Victoria.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and supervising our production team
• Production planning and scheduling activities
• Operating various food processing and packing equipment
• Training team members on all production activities
• Quality control over products, packing and labelling
• Overseeing HACCP and Food Safety Program
• Some repetitive lifting and moving of goods up to 25kg

Qualifications and skills

• Food production management/supervisory experience
• Experience with food processing and packing machinery
• Strong knowledge of OHS, HACCP and Food Safety & Quality Control Programs
• Strong leadership and communications skills and hands on attitude
• Ability to work within a production environment and team

Remuneration:

• Full time role
• $70k annual salary (plus superannuation), subject to negotiation based on experience and qualifications
• 10% employee discount in our retail store
