Our client is a large ACT Government organisation who are seeking Senior SOE Developer / Engineer to join their team.

The position will join the End User Services team to provide technical support to staff and customers, assist in developing solutions for whole of Government identified issues and participate in assigned project work. The role will focus on Operating System deployment and configuration of Standard Operating Environments to all ACT Government supported environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, maintain, and enhance the SOE in a desktop operating environment including the distribution of applications.
   
2. Provide advice on strategic issues relating to the SOE environment, including a consideration for Open Standards and Open Source products as related to ACT Government business requirements.
   
3. Support infrastructure such as Group Policy, Intune, and login scripts.
   
4. Provide third level troubleshooting and support including the development of solutions to overcome production SOE issues.
   
5. Develop and maintain relevant documentation as required for the QMS.
   
6. Assist the Security team to ensure the SOE meets Essential 8 requirements.
   

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated experience in SOE development, deployment technology and Group Policy management as well as demonstrated knowledge and understanding of scripting and Microsoft operating systems, deployment methodology and applications.
   
2. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain multiple Intune MDM and MAM based solutions to meet unique customer requirements.
   
3. Demonstrated high level technical achievement in a large Microsoft environment including the ability to troubleshoot issues and develop appropriate solutions to problems.
   
4. Demonstrated sound organisational skills including the ability to work independently or as a member of a team to meet objectives.
   
5. Demonstrated high level experience and understanding of the Enterprise requirements for SOE development and deployment, scripting and overarching architectural ideals.
   
6. Ability to automate tasks using Visual Basic and PowerShell.
   
7. ITIL Foundation Certification or knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure library would be advantageous.
