Administration Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role will involve providing administration assistance to the Accounts and Operations Managers and the Company Director. The role broadly involves handling general administrative tasks to support our operations. Ideally we would like the position to be full-time but may explore the possibility of flexible work hours for the right candidate. The role is office based at our Welshpool Fabrication Workshop.

Alfa Fabrication's primary business is steel fabrication. We service customers in the Energy and Mining sectors as well as wider industry.

What the Role involves
- Being first point of contact for the business, answering telephones and directing enquiries to the relevant department.
- Filing and scanning documents to ensure records are kept organised and up to date. Includes both physical and e-documents, archiving etc.
- Handle administrative requests and queries from senior managers.
- Daily tasks such as entering timecards, ordering consumables supplies. Preparing purchase orders for gas, welding and grinding consumables, paints etc.
- Follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies.
- Organise and schedule appointments with third party service providers at regular intervals for scheduled maintenance.
- Contacting customers to advise completion of jobs and preparing delivery dockets.
Depending on the aptitude and experience of the candidate, the role may evolve into taking on additional tasks as they grow into the role
Desired skills/experience
- Friendly and positive personality focused on results.
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
- Good problem solving and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular).
- Expeience with MYOB woudl be an advantage but not essential.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Australian Work Rights.
Exposure to accounting sub-systems such as invoicing, payroll, debtors etc would be viewed as an advantage.
$60k-$70k+ P.A. (plus super annuation) subject to skills and experience.
