We are seeking a Library Coordinator who has passion for fostering a love for learning and reading to join our team.
Purpose
The Library Coordinator is responsible for providing strategic advice and managing administration, financial matters and daily operations across the library. Working closely with the leadership team and other stakeholders you will provide high level support to deliver on operational targets.
Accountabilities
- Oversee the development, maintenance and operations of relevant systems and resources and recommend improvements to processes and procedures.
- Coordinate general day to day tasks, monitoring workloads, promoting teamwork, skill development and a sense of pride in the library.
- Develop and interpret legislation, regulations, procedures and other guideline material relating to operations within the library.
- Prepare and maintain procurement activities including overseeing budget administration, and activities.
- Review, develop and implement processes and systems that enable effective management consistent with the school’s strategic and operational objectives.
- Market and promote library services, coordinating programs that are responsive to the school requirements and current trends.
- Contribute to the school’s strategic and operational plans by reviewing legislation, regulations, initiatives and policies and providing recommendations.
Mandatory Requirements
- Eligibility to work within Australia and for the period of appointment.
- Currently hold or ability to obtain Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
- Current/valid Queensland Driver’s Licence, if required.
Qualifications
- No formal qualification is required; however, a diploma level qualification or higher or equivalent will provide an in-depth knowledge of the relevant statutory, regulatory and policy/procedural framework.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
