Fina Australia is seeking a facilities and maintenance tradesman to join our organisation. This position is ideal for a skilled worker responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across our facilities, fleet, and greenspaces, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, lawn maintenance and general repairs, often requiring proficiency in multiple trades to address various issues.

This allrounder will ensure our buildings and grounds remain in a safe and operational condition through preventative maintenance and responding to urgent breakdowns; they may also oversee minor projects and coordinate with external contractors when necessary.

This position is permanent-part time role working within a small team Monday to Friday based at Burpengary and across site locations in Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Inala regions, travel will be required to attend these sites to complete the works.

The successful candidate must be well presented, have a strong work ethic with diligence, be a team player, work autonomously with minimal supervision and be willing to work within the culture of the business.

You will be reporting directly to the Facilities / Shared Service Support Officer and Shared Services Manager.

Regular contact with management, operational departments, support staff and participants are part of this role and will require interactions that involve treating our residents with respect and consideration, furthermore, upholding our obligation to the participants confidentiality and privacy when entering their home.

Experience

• Previous experience in Community Services, Non-for-Profit Disability Organisations or Ages Care will be highly regarded.
• Trade expertise desirable
• Technical understanding of building and construction, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical for trouble shooting
• Experience in job scheduling and coordination.
• Provide experience in critical thinking, analytical reasoning and be solution focused.
• Experience in managing expenses related to maintaining and operating a building or facility within a predetermined financial plan.
• Experience in painting/plastering; carpentry, minor plumbing, minor electrical
• Experience in gardening, mowing, knowledge, and operation of lawn machinery
• Experience in vehicle repairs and mechanical knowledge, detailing and maintaining fleet.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A sound knowledge of computers and proficient in Microsoft applications
• Professional presentation and friendly disposition required.
